  • Dr Shan General Practitioner, Female

    Dr. Rathai Shan completed her MBBS in 1995 and has been practicing as a clinician for over 20 years, providing her with a wealth of experience. She has worked in Australia for more than 13 years and completed her fellowship at the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners in 2010. She has special interests in women's and children's medicine, exemplified by her membership on the International Board of Lactation Consultants and possession of a Diploma in Child Health.

    Dr. Champika Jinendradasa graduated with a Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) in 1994. He completed his Ear, Nose and Throat (ENT) Fellowship in 2001 and then subsequently achieved his fellowship at the Royal Australasian College of General Practitioners and the Australian College of Rural and Remote Medicine in 2010. He holds special interests in chronic disease management, general medicine, ENT, and minor surgeries. Furthermore, Dr. CJ has advanced training in performing complicated skin excisions and biopsies, as well as performing skin checks and recognising skin cancers.

    Dr Michael KP Yang graduated from the University of Queensland with a Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery. He is exceptionally trained in Family Medicine and a vocationally registered Medical Practitioner. He has been servicing the Hills areas since 1980.

    Dr Jeyanthiny Parasuraman is a General Practitioner, with 20 years of experience in the field of Medicine. Her professional qualifications includes MBBS, MD in Dermatology and Licentiate of the Medical Council of Canada. She is passionate about practising in a wide range of health care areas, particularly general medicine, paediatrics, psychiatry, and women’s health. She also has a special interest in general dermatology together with a focus on malignant skin conditions and cosmetic dermatology.

    Dr Elavarasi Ranjithan is a Fellow of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners (RACGP), having completed her fellowship in 2018. She brings over 15 years of medical experience to her practice, having commenced her career in medicine after completing her Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) in 2008.

    Dr Ela holds a Diploma in Child Health from The Sydney Children's Hospital Network, reflecting her commitment to paediatric care. Her clinical interests are centred on child and women's health, areas in which she has developed significant expertise and passion.

    Known for her compassionate and thorough approach, Dr Ela is dedicated to improving health outcomes for women and children. She is particularly interested in innovative approaches to service delivery and brings a fresh perspective to patient care, always striving to enhance the quality and accessibility of healthcare for her patients.

    Dr Bella is a GP registrar, who graduated as valedictorian from The University of Queensland Medical School in 2021. She has worked in a number of Queensland hospitals - from Logan up to Cairns - and has gained experience working across a range of specialties, including paediatrics, obstetrics and gynaecology, and various adult medical specialties. She has also completed a Certificate of Child Health from the Sydney Children's Hospital Network. She enjoys looking after patients at all stages of life, and aims to provide comprehensive and compassionate care. Dr Bella has commenced her GP training this year, and will be with the clinic for 1 year.

     

  • Dr Shameela Orrie General Practitioner, Female

    Dr Shameela believes in a holistic, patient centered approach to medicine. She obtained her medical and family medicine degree from the University of Cape Town, South Africa. Her Australian experience includes several years in the emergency department at TPCH before entering general practice training. She moved to Australia in 2017 with her family and speaks English and Afrikaans. Her interests in general practice are broad and include women’s and child health and chronic disease management. Outside of work, she enjoys the beach, long walks and spending time with her cats.

  • Dr Joel McVey GP Registrar, Male

    Dr Joel graduated from the Australian National University and has spent time at The Canberra Hospital and Prince Charles Hospital where he has gained a wealth of experience in various surgical and critical care specialities. Whilst at The Prince Charles Hospital he has undertaken extensive emergency medicine training and has worked in intensive care units as well adult and paediatric emergency departments. He has commenced GP training this year and has a keen interest in chronic disease management, paediatric medicine, men's health and is expanding his knowledge in skin cancer diagnosis. Outside of work Joel enjoys spending time with family, friends and his two highly energetic dogs!

  • Dr Kumar Yap General Practitioner, Male FRACGP, MD

    Dr. Kumar Yap, General Practitioner Fellow (MD, FRACGP).

    Dr. Kumar Yap graduated with Doctor of Medicine degree in 2010 in Malaysia and has since gained extensive general practice experience across Malaysia, Singapore, and Australia. He is a Fellow of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners (FRACGP) and holds a Skin Cancer Certificate from the Skin Cancer College Australasia.

    His areas of special interest include chronic disease management, skin cancer medicine, women’s health, men’s health, child & adolescent health, antenatal & postnatal care, and geriatric medicine.

    Dr. Yap is passionate about providing holistic, evidence based patient-centred care and values building long-term relationships with his patients and families. Outside of work, he enjoys spending time with his family, gym, travelling, and exploring new cuisines.

  • Dr Kaycee Ching Koek General Practitioner, Female

    Dr Kaycee Ching Koek graduated from The University of Queensland with a Doctor of Medicine and obtained Fellowship with the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners (FRACGP) in 2026. She also completed 2 years of rural regional training with the RACGP.

    Kaycee enjoys all aspects of general practice, with particular interests in women’s health, children’s health, and chronic disease management. She values building long-term relationships with patients and providing holistic, patient-centred care.

    Outside of work, Kaycee enjoys cooking, spending time outdoors, and going for long walks with her dog

    I have a special passion for helping people break free from unhelpful patterns and build a life that feels more fulfilling. I believe therapy is a space for growth, self-discovery, and learning how to live in a way that aligns with who you truly are. Whether you’re experiencing depression, anxiety, or other mental health conditions, challenging life adjustments, relationship struggles, or navigating life with a personality disorder, I’m here to support you with care and compassion. I always work from a trauma-informed perspective and use a range of evidence-based approaches.  I adore working with LGBTIQ+ and neurodiverse individuals.

  • Han Berrick - Podiatrist Podiatrist

    Han Berrick graduated from the Queensland University of Technology in 2019 with a Bachelor of Health Science (Podiatry). Prior to her career in podiatry, Han was an AHPRA registered nurse for more than ten years and has a postgraduate degree in nursing, reinforcing her knowledge and experience in the medical industry. Han enjoys working alongside her patients to solve podiatry problems and achieve personal health goals. She is passionate about all aspects of podiatric care and has a particular interest in nail surgery, orthotics, and diabetic foot care. Outside of work, Han enjoys cooking, travelling, and relaxing on the beach with her family.

  • Alun Lewis - Physiotherapy Physiotherapy

    Alun graduated from ACU with a Bachelor of Physiotherapy before starting at North West Physio Keperra. He aims to provide holistic care across a range of musculoskeletal injuries, incorporating hands-on therapy with targeted exercise to prioritise each patient's goals and aspirations. Alun has a particular interest in sports related injuries and rehabilitation and pain science.

    In his free time, Alun enjoys spending time with mates, training jiu jitsu, listening to music and hitting the gym.

  • Joyce Louie - Physiotherapist Physiotherapy

    Joyce joined the North West Physio team after graduating from Australian Catholic University in 2022. She is passionate about providing holistic management for various musculoskeletal conditions as well as an active healthy lifestyle for all ages. She has a keen interest in sporting injuries, low back pain and lower limb injuries and is a qualified western acupuncture/dry needling practitioner. In her spare time, Joyce enjoys training at the gym, listening to music, and watching movies. Joyce is available for appointments at Ferny Grove Family Practice on Thursday afternoons.
